Do you accept insurance?

Nader Medical is a direct-care membership practice and does not bill insurance for physician services. This is deliberate: it removes the incentives that produce 7-minute visits and allows your physician to work only for you. Many members use HSA/FSA funds toward membership fees (confirm eligibility with your plan administrator), and we provide superbills you may submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Your insurance still applies normally to medications at your pharmacy, imaging, and any care outside our practice.

Is there a long-term contract?

Memberships are billed monthly with a three-month initial commitment, meaningful medicine requires at least one full lab-review cycle. After that, you may cancel anytime with 30 days' notice. We would rather earn your renewal than lock you in.

Which states do you serve?

The practice is based in Hampton Roads (Norfolk & Virginia Beach), and Dr. Nader currently provides telemedicine care to patients located in Virginia, where he holds an active license. During booking you'll confirm your state of residence; if you live elsewhere, you can join the waitlist and we will notify you as licensure expands to additional states. Lab draws are performed at partner facilities nationwide, so members complete everything without visiting an office.

How do virtual visits work?

Visits take place over a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, no special software required. Foundation and Performance visits are scheduled 60-minute appointments; Executive members can schedule same-week at times that fit their calendar. Between visits, your care continues through secure messaging in the patient portal.

How do the labs work?

After enrollment, we send a requisition to a partner draw site near you (LabCorp and Quest locations nationwide). You complete a fasted morning draw at your convenience, no appointment needed at most locations. Results typically return within 3–5 business days, after which your physician reviews every marker, writes a plain-language interpretation, and schedules your review visit.

What do you actually test?

Our comprehensive panel covers 80+ biomarkers across ten systems: advanced lipids (including ApoB and Lp(a)), metabolic markers (fasting insulin, HbA1c, uric acid), full thyroid cascade, complete hormone panels for men and women, inflammatory markers (hs-CRP, homocysteine), micronutrients (vitamin D, B12, ferritin, magnesium, omega-3 index), kidney and liver function, complete blood count, and urinalysis. Additional testing is ordered based on your history and findings.

What medications can you prescribe?

As a licensed medical practice, we prescribe the full range of medications appropriate to our scope, including hormone therapies, GLP-1 receptor agonists, lipid-lowering agents, blood pressure medications, and treatments for sleep, hair loss, and sexual health, whenever they are clinically indicated and supported by evidence. Prescriptions are sent to your preferred pharmacy, and your insurance applies normally to medication costs.

Do you prescribe controlled substances?

Testosterone and certain other therapies we use are federally controlled substances, and we prescribe them only within a documented physician-patient relationship, with clear clinical indication, baseline and follow-up labs, and compliance with all federal and state telemedicine regulations. We do not prescribe stimulants, benzodiazepines, or opioids, and we are not a source for anabolic steroid regimens. Every controlled prescription is monitored longitudinally.

How quickly can I reach my physician?

Foundation members receive responses to secure messages within two business days; Performance members within one business day, usually same-day; Executive members have a direct line to the physician. For medical emergencies, always call 911, a concierge practice complements, but does not replace, emergency care.

What does follow-up look like?

Optimization is longitudinal by definition. Every treatment change is followed by scheduled labs to verify safety and response, typically 6–8 weeks after a protocol adjustment. Your dashboard tracks every biomarker over time, so both you and your physician can see objectively whether the plan is working, and course-correct early when it isn't.

Do I still need a primary care physician?

For many members, Nader Medical functions as their primary medical relationship, and we are equipped to handle the majority of day-to-day medical needs. We still recommend maintaining access to local in-person care for acute exams, procedures, and emergencies, and we coordinate directly with your existing physicians and specialists, with your permission, so your care is never fragmented.

What happens at the initial consultation?

Your first step is a complimentary 15-minute discovery call to confirm the practice is a good fit for your goals; it is a conversation, not a sales pitch. If we proceed, you'll complete a comprehensive intake and health history, your baseline labs, and then a 60-minute founding visit where your physician reviews everything and builds your initial plan with you.
